The move represents a significant investment by Madgwicks to expand the group’s property expertise and portfolio in the areas of real estate acquisitions, sales, leasing and licensing across the commercial, retail and telecommunications sectors.
The team has worked closely together on significant property matters and high-volume leasing including acting for internationally recognised telecommunications company, TPG Telecom, negotiating large scale leases and licences across all Australian states and territories and in negotiating acquisitions and sales of commercial property.
With the recruitment of the new team, Madgwicks’ Property Group will grow to a practice of 14 including three partners, a special counsel, a senior associate, two lawyers and seven law clerks, specialising in real estate, property development, leasing, licensing and owners corporation in the commercial, retail and telecommunications sectors.

Rohan is a fellow of the Australian Property Institute and responsible for the legal training of valuers seeking accreditation to become specialist valuers under the Retail Leases Act 2003 (Vic). In this role, Rohan works closely with the Small Business Commissioner of Victoria. Rohan’s specialist knowledge in retail leasing has Rohan acting for shopping centre owners as well as acting for both landlords and tenants in retail disputes. Rohan is often appointed as an expert to determine legal questions under dispute and gives expert opinions on retail leasing matters.
Rohan leads his team in advising TPG Telecom on telecommunications law and the team is responsible for documenting the leasing and licensing of more than 5,000 sites throughout Australia.
Rohan also acts for developers and investors on the acquisition and sale of commercial properties, including recently on a number of CBD and CBD fringe properties.
